About Us
Rich Gillette, Rod Mickelson, Steve Skelly and Dean Plantz are all fathers of boys who race quads. The concept of Root River Powersports was developed when these dads found they had no on-track resource for immediate part needs. Over the winter of 2007/2008, Rich, Rod, Steve and Dean did some talking to parents, research about other companies, and fully concepting how the company would work. Through parent phone calls, it became very clear that an on-track parts resource was in definite need and high demand. Spring of 2008, Root River Power Sports officially became an LLC and began providing services primarily to District 23.
This website has been developed to provide you, the racer, with the tools and support you need. You will be able to search catalogs for parts, check out our in-store inventory, look at pics from past races, and even check the weather conditions for each and every race.
